Our Story
Read Write Consulting is led by Christina Maurer-Smolder, an experienced teacher, author, and researcher with a deep passion for literacy education. As a mother of three grown sons—two of whom have dyslexia—Christina witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by students with learning differences. Frustrated by the lack of understanding and support available, she dedicated herself to researching literacy difficulties, not only to help her own children but also to improve outcomes for countless other students.

Through Read Write Consulting, Christina combines evidence-informed theory with practical strategies to empower secondary educators, parents, and students. Her mission is to ensure that every learner has the tools and support they need to reach their full potential.
